A brand new class combining a set of resistance strength exercises using the theraband and a series of yoga inspired stretches perfect after this session. Whether you are a beginner or looking to improve your muscle strength and flexibility or simply tone up and lose weight, resistance bands are for you. These stretchy tapes can be used for a comprehensive, full-body workout that challenges virtually every major muscle group in the body. Additionally, resistance-band training can help you boost stamina, range of motion and because there’s tension throughout the exercises, you have to stabilise your body which helps with coordination and balance.

Resistance training can go a long way to improve bone quality and density, which can help reverse signs of osteoporosis or prevent falls and fractures. What is more, strength training also has brain-boosting side effects, which can help you avoid age-related dementia. Even if you are coming back from an injury, bands are a way to improve your healing process.

Try it out, you know you can’t resist it!

The classes work at building strength and flexibility in a way that nurtures and encourages gentleness in the body. The practise works by releasing nervous tension, anxiousness and hardness in the body so you begin to experience true harmony. A joyful, restorative, meditative class that nourishes your whole being.Donna’s class is open to all levels from the complete beginner to the more experienced.

Sukha Bike Yoga with Liz Bennett is designed to give you a better riding experience through flexibility, recovery and injury prevention.
Utilising Liz’s deep understanding of yoga, physiotherapy and years of riding experience around the world,  the sessions work on your flexibility, stability and muscle control.Cover all the elements you need to ride faster and stronger on your bike plus avoid injury.
Sukha Bike Yoga works on your stability and muscle control, particularly on the back, core, hips and shoulders, all the elements you need to ride faster and stronger on your bike plus avoid injury. Hamstrings and hips are safely lengthened, while the ribs, neck and shoulders are decompressed from hours flexed over the bars.
You’ll breathe, move and perform better on your bike.
You don’t need previous yoga experience or flexibility to join or benefit from these classes- we know that flexibility isn’t always high on a cyclists’ priorities and this class is designed to be effective as it is enjoyable!

You will be taught routines for before and after your ride, and some really useful home-practices for throughout the week, too.

I have really found your sukha bike yoga classes to be beneficial to me. Since starting your classes my hamstring flexibility has noticeably improved, I’ve eliminated mid back discomfort caused by sitting at a computer most of the day and generally my body feels more flexible.
